Leader: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on this law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in due season. In all that he does he prospers.

Blessed is he who considers the poor! The Lord delivers him in the day of trouble; the Lord protects him and sustains him. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting

What man can live and never see death? Who but you O’ Lord can deliver his soul from the power of hell? Lord, we implore thee, to remember your steadfast love of old.

You sweep men away like a dream, like grass which springs up in the morning. In the morning it springs up and flowers, by evening it withers and fades.

Make us know the shortness of our life that we may gain wisdom of heart. In the morning, fill us with your love; we shall exult and rejoice in You all our days!
